YOU MAY HAVE seen the ads for Johnny Depp’s new film Mortdecai.

The caper stars Depp as Charlie Mortdecai, an art dealer trying to track down a rare painting that’s linked to a bank account filled with Nazi gold. The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn and Jeff Goldblum.

The film has a very active social media presence and has come under fire for this promoted tweet, which features a still of Johnny Depp grabbing Olivia Munn’s breast.

It reads, “Do you remember this day, Olivia Munn? I know my right hand does!”

The promoted tweet, which has appeared in people’s timelines, appears to have totally backfired with many people calling it “creepy” and “degrading”.

This about sums up people’s feelings on it.

Despite the overwhelmingly negative response, the tweet has not been removed.

Mortdecai hits cinema on January 23rd.
